What's included in the ER Marriage Intensive?
As mentioned previously, when couples first reach out for help they have multiple resentments they've been carrying around for years and at least one partner is hanging on by a thread. Therefore, starting with once a week appointments for 45-minutes barely scratches the surface and meanwhile hope continues to dwindle. That's why starting with an intensive is highly recommended to provide concentrated time to address your core resentments up front when you need help the most. Examples of core resentments include communication, affection, emotional intimacy, sex, anger, trust, in laws, parenting, finances, uneven workload, and feeling voiceless. Once your core resentments have been resolved then once a week 45-minute appointments are recommended for long-term change and accountability.
The ER Marriage Intensive includes four half-day intensives with your master relationship coach to address your core resentments. This is equal to four months of sessions in four days! ER also includes one month in Dr. Wyatt's TOOLS marriage class to learn skills for a successful marriage. In addition, it includes tickets to his next marriage retreat in Denver to breathe new life back into your relationship. A recording of the retreat is available if you're unable to attend.
All intensives are virtual to maximize convenience and are highly effective. Intensives are scheduled between you and your master coach after enrollment. Each half-day intensive includes a 90-minute appointment, 15-minute break, then another 90-minute appointment. The master coaches are experts at helping couples address their resentments through a mixture of the Gottman Method, EFT, and our unique tools that have helped over 1000 couples. The master coaches also meet with Licensed Psychologist Dr. Wyatt weekly for supervision to maximize quality of care.

1-What's your success rate for couples going through ER? If both partners are motivated and teachable, our success rate is 90% and above.
2-Are all the appointments one-on-one or group? The intensives with your master coach are one-on-one. The four weeks in Dr. Wyatt's TOOLS marriage course and the retreat are set up like a classroom with no group sharing.
3-What happens after I enroll? Within 24 hours after you enroll you'll receive an email with steps to set up your first intensive. Be sure to check your spam or promotions folder in case it goes there!
4-How much time does ER require each week? It's up to you how close together you schedule your appointments. Keep in mind the quicker you address your resentments the quicker you'll start feeling hope.
5-What happens during the intensives? The intensives are designed to help you and your partner resolve your resentments one step at a time in a calm and constructive manner because nothing goes well in a relationship when there are active resentments.
6-Are the appointments live or virtual? The intensives and the TOOLS class are virtual but the marriage retreat in Denver is live. You can receive a recording of the retreat if you're unable to attend live.
7-What qualifications do the master coaches have? Each coach is a Certified Relationship Coach and has been through Dr. Wyatt's extensive ICF Accredited Training. They also meet with him weekly for supervision to maximize quality of care and have been working with couples for years.
8-Does my partner have to do the intensive with me? Yes, ER is designed for couples where both partners are willing to participate.
9-What if my partner and I break up while going through ER? While rare, this can occur. The refund period is 7 days after purchase and no refund is available after that. Therefore, if you break up after the 7 day refund period you can split up the remaining services for individual support and training.
